Umatilla Land Purchase Offers

Voluntary opportunity to sell land interests for consolidation under Tribal ownership

BIA is looking for individual Indian landowners from the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation to voluntarily sell fractional land interests, at fair market value, for consolidation under Tribal ownership.

Purchase offers are being mailed to a limited number of Umatilla landowners. If you own eligible fractional interests, you may receive an offer. Willing sellers will be paid fair market value and purchased interests will be restored to the Tribes. This effort supports Tribes by increasing Tribal management control over reservation lands, better enabling the Tribe to protect and use lands for purposes benefitting Indian communities.
