Status of Tribes and Climate Change, Volume 2 is coming soon! Created by a diverse working group of co-authors coordinated by the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) with support from the Bureau of Indian Affairs' Branch of Tribal Community Resilience, Volume 2 seeks to increase readers’ understanding of Tribal lifeways, cultures, and worldviews, the climate change impacts Tribes are experiencing, the solutions they are implementing, and how all of us can support Tribes in adapting to our changing world.

Published in 2021, Volume 1 of the Status of Tribes and Climate Change brought together over 90 authors representing diverse entities and perspectives to create a report compiling personal narratives, technical knowledge, and research on the climate impacts facing Tribal Nations.

About the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals

ITEP was established at Northern Arizona University in 1992, in cooperation with US Environmental Protection Agency, with the mission to strengthen Tribal capacity and sovereignty in environmental and natural resource management through culturally relevant education, research, partnerships, and policy-based services. ITEP has offered student summer internships for Native American and other college students since 1994.
