Beginning in December 2024, the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals will accept student internship applications for their Summer 2025 environmental internship programs.
ITEP offers a variety of Summer 2025 environmental internships that range from one to ten weeks long, and which may be in-person, virtual, or hybrid, depending on the specific opportunity. Each internship opportunity focuses on air quality, climate change, or water resources and land management.
Internship applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students majoring in an environmental or related field who are full-time students during the Spring 2024 semester. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens that identify as Native American.
Internship host organizations include Tribal or government agencies, NGOs, non-profit organizations, or for-profit companies.
ITEP is currently accepting applications for host organizations.

About the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals
ITEP was established at Northern Arizona University in 1992, in cooperation with US Environmental Protection Agency, with the mission to strengthen Tribal capacity and sovereignty in environmental and natural resource management through culturally relevant education, research, partnerships, and policy-based services. ITEP has offered student summer internships for Native American and other college students since 1994.
