The mission of the Branch of Environmental Management is to provide expert assistance and advice to the Director, Division of Environmental and Cultural Resources Management, Office of Trust Services on all matters involving environmental laws which apply to, or might affect Indian trust lands or restricted lands and federal facilities owned or operated by Indian Affairs. The Branch provides leadership, guidance, policy and support for the protection of environmental resources. The Branch assures compliance with applicable environmental statutes such as National Environmental Policy Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act and the National Historic Preservation Act.
