Trina Locke

Director of Environmental and Natural Resources

Trina Locke is the Director of Environmental and Natural Resources for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Trust Services. Locke oversees the Divisions of Environmental Services and Cultural Management, Forest Management, Wildland Fire Management, and Natural Resources in this role.

Her long career includes serving Trust Services and the Office of the Assistant Secretary – Indian Affairs’ Division of Facilities Management and Construction. Before assuming her current position, Locke was the Trust Services Division Chief for Program Management and Coordination. In this capacity, she centralized hiring for the wildland fire program, oversaw the Bureau’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act funding, and drove keystone projects across the Department to benefit Tribes while ensuring equity.

Locke is an enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation from Fort Berthold, North Dakota.
