Agencies

The Northwest Region was created by an Act of Congress in 1946. It is under the general administrative supervision of the Regional Director, who provides overall leadership, direction, and technical assistance in the implementation of Bureau programs operated for the benefit of tribes and individual Indians at fifteen (15) agencies and field stations located in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and southeastern Alaska.
