Vision

The Tribal Nations Summit, established by Executive Order 13647, is the flagship annual convening of the Federal government and Indian Country, and reflects the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to strengthening Nation-to-Nation relationships. The Summit reinforces the fundamental principles of Tribal sovereignty, Tribal Self Determination, and the federal governments trust responsibility, in order that Native Nations and Native peoples thrive, prosper, and retain their reserved rights.

Purpose

The Summit brings together the President of the United States, their Cabinet, federal executive agency heads, and leaders invited from all federally recognized Tribes for direct government-to-government dialogue of the Federal governments Indian Country policy priorities, and to hear from Tribes their own priorities, in order to develop Indian Country agendas for the future.

Tribal leaders will have the opportunity to have meaningful conversations directly with senior Administration officials on implementation of key priorities, new policies, and other critical issues facing Tribal Nations.
