Overview A virtual public hearing will be held for the Chinook Judgment Funds (ICC Docket 234) on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 1:00 PM (PST), via Zoom. Individuals descended from those persons listed on the 1914 Lower Chinook and Clatsop Payment Roll, or tribal entities with members descended from the Roll, are invited to express their views by appearing at the hearing.
ConsultationFor over a year now, the Bureau of Trust Funds Administration (BTFA) has been performing all of the operational duties related to this function. The issuance of Secretary's Order 3384 on September 1, 2020, formally moved the functions and personnel of the Office of Special Trust for American Indians (OST) to BTFA. Indian Affairs is hosting two consultation sessions to discuss how BTFA can carry out its duties most effectively and improve customer service.

Consultation*Note: This session will be held during the week of November 29th as part of the BIA Provider’s Conference. The specific date and time is still TBD. The Department of the Interior (DOI) is holding three virtual listening sessions focused on climate change and Tribal Nations and will help shape relevant DOI efforts. The third session is focused on Tribes in Alaska who are facing relocation, managed retreat, and protect-in-place decisions due to climate change impacts.
Listening SessionThe U.S. Department of the Interior (Department or DOI) is hosting a series of government-to-government Tribal and Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) consultation sessions to help inform the development of the Department’s Fiscal Year 2022-2026 Strategic Plan (Strategic Plan). The DOI Strategic Plan will outline the goals and objectives of the Secretary of the Interior, strategies to accomplish those goals, and performance measures to track the progress of the plan.
