Fort Belknap Agency

The Fort Belknap Reservation is located in north central Montana near Havre, Montana. This resource rich reservation is home to over 6,500 Gros Ventre and Assiniboine enrolled tribal members (Fort Belknap Community Council). The Fort Belknap Agency provides stewardship to more than 630,000 surface acres held in trust. The Agency also provides stewardship to more than 34,000 Turtle Mountain Public Domain surface acres held in trust.

The Agency provides direct services in the following program areas: Executive Direction & Administration, Facilities Management, Agriculture, Forestry, Irrigation, Probate, and Real Estate Services.

The Tribe has contracted the following programs: Job Placement & Training, Road Maintenance, Indian Child Welfare, Housing Improvement, Tribal Courts, Community Fire Protection, Water Resources, Wildlife & Parks, Wildland Fire Preparedness & Suppression, Tribal Management & Development, Real Estate Appraisals, and Other Aid to Tribal Government.
